360°Plettenberg is one of the most industrial towns in the region – traditionally a forging town. Of around 12,600 people employed here, about 8,700 work in manufacturing. Drop forges, cold forming and metalworking define the plants in the Lenne valley and its side valleys. For assembly companies this density means consistently high demand and projects that often run for weeks – exactly the stays where accommodation in town pays off.
The main route of the new high-voltage power lines through the Sauerland: many different teams work on it — and find their beds with us. In parallel, wind turbines are currently being built.
As a town in its own right, Plettenberg has everything a team needs day to day – supermarkets, petrol stations, DIY stores and workshops within the town. The short triangle of apartment, shopping and site saves time every single day on shift work.
